Not now! I am busy chatting with my friends online! I am busy preparing for the final exams next week! I am busy with all the deadlines that I have to meet! I am busy spending time with my girlfriend! I am busy with... nothing.
Sometimes we are so busy with what we are doing, that we don't have time to focus on what we have. We are busy to achieve our goals and grades, and at the end of the day, slowly your friends and loved ones are leaving one by one from you. And then, you regret and fret about it, and this cycle goes on and forth.
Often we are so distracted by deadlines and the world that we don't even have time for God. There are 7 days in a week, and my weekends are burnt out with cell group and church service on Sunday. Notice when I used the word "burnt". How ironic, then what about the weekdays? How busy can the world be? Everyone is trying to keep themselves busy in order to compete and survive in this pathetic society.
One example would be during lectures. The moment I walked into it, I thought I was at Lim Chu Kang cemetery! What's even better is that the time now in Ngee Ann Polytechnic is almost up. Everyone seems to be cold and distant from each other. Especially after the lessons today, without a word of goodbye, some left, others are as good as dead.
Busy, busy, busy. Busy without any purpose in life, busy for the sake of being busy, and finally busy with nothing.
Even if you die, you will never stop being busy.
