Lunar New Year

Distributing "ang baos" have been a permanent tradition for this festive period especially towards the youths. The distributor must be married to do so, otherwise he would just sit there and wait for his turn to come.

These mandarin oranges have never seemed to fail me whenever I feel alone on Lunar New Year. They would always be there for me no matter where they are placed. The only sad thing for them is, they don't last. Sooner or later, they are used in exchange with other people's oranges, or get stuck inside my stomach. I can't afford to watch them die, so might as well eat them.

Hey this is the best part during every reunion dinner, family members would get together and shout harmonious and prosperous cheers while doing the "yu sheng". It's a very intriguing process, but take note of some "yu sheng"s that taste bad.

Probably the most important event of them all. Family gatherings are very significant especially during the Chinese New Year Eve. Members would turn up and have dinner with the rest of the family including relatives and blah blah.

Looking at the above mentioned stuffs, I just wished that my cny would be like that too. But...I guess there's always another year.
