Job Hunting: Accomplished

(This is case scenario 1...)

Man:
"Hi is this Nicholas ? Congratulations ! You have scored yourself a job with Singtel ! Would you come down to my office to seal the deal ?"
Myself:
"I am sorry. I just got a job with another company this morning already. Just sealed the contract with them a few minutes ago. (Why didn't you call me earlier ?) I am really sorry."
Man:
"Okay I see. Thank you. Bye."

Phone rang... (Case Scenario 2 )

Pretty Girl:"
Hi Nicholas! Good morning! Expecting you to be at your workplace having the interview right now, I am so anxious for you! Are you at the place right now ?"

Me still on the bed:
"Zzzz, Huh ? What ? Oh lobster, I am sorry I am still on my bed snoozing the alarm. Is it okay if I don't turn up at all ? Because I am really tired..."

Pretty Girl:
"Okay then! Take care! Bye!"
(I wasn't sure she was frustrated or disappointed, but definitely not happy judging from her tone.)

Both scenarios happened before and after I sealed the deal with Recruit Express on the job they offered me. Yes, as of now...

"I AM FINALLY GONNA BE PAID! AND SOON I WOULD BE FREE FROM DEBTS!"

Not from debt collectors or loan sharks, but from my best friends and etc. I owed more than 100 bucks through them. Yes that's my current situation now, in addition, my bank account states "$2.65"

With this new job, I am determined to work hard to pay off my debts and start a saving scheme to manage my spending.

  • No more expensive coffee and frappe' at Starbucks or Coffee Bean. I shall settle for drinks at the coffee shop and mineral water.
  • Research on food and snacks which are cheap and provide the essentials to my body in maintaining my shape and health while trying to scrimp before enlistment.
Back to the above scenarios...

How practical can human beings be, one minute they are nice to you, the next minute you find yourself being stabbed at the back. But I have a portion of the blame to carry. I was too ambitious in my job hunting that I applied for almost everything I see on the net.

But still, customer service! Customers (myself) are always right !

Talk about customer service, I suddenly remembered something. Once I bought my Ipod Nano film protector, and I seek assistance from this guy who doesn't know shit about Apple products, to help me apply the film protector on my 300 bucks mp3 player.

I stood and waited for 30 minutes, with Teck Yi complaining beside me. I was so pissed with that guy because he kept tempering with my Nano and the film protector wasn't fit properly, eventually it was damaged. Lobster.

In the end, out of 9 assistants in that Apple shop, only one kind soul came up and took over the operation. Not only was my Nano protected with the film, I was also compensated a new set of film protectors. HAHAHA.

Readers who own a Nano can look for me, I can give you a good price on the film protector. $10 bucks only!
